COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE

$7,500 Program Support | Women's Health Clinic

Provides compassionate primary medical and dental care and health education to people who lack access to insurance and live or work in Chester County in order to support their goals to lead productive, healthy and hopeful lives. The grant supports the Women's Health Clinic Program, offering free preventative and diagnostic women's health and wellness services to uninsured women and girls in the safety, security and confidentiality of a compassionate medical environment. 

CRIME VICTIMS' CENTER OF CHESTER COUNTY

$15,000 Program Support | Helping Victims Heal

$5,000 GAB Grant | Femal Teen and Sexual Assault Support Groups and Human Trafficking Initiative

Provides direct service programs to support and empower victims of crime and/or violene. The grant enables the Helping Victims Heal program, which provides female victims of rape and sexual assault with a full rage of services, including advocacy, accompaniment and counseling. The GAB grant aids victims and their families during the healing process.

LA COMUNIDAD HISPANA

$15,000 Program Support | Prenatal Services

Empowers immigrants and low-income residents to stay healthy, build strong families and lead productive, fulfilling lives. The grant supports the Prenatal Program which provides culturally competent health care services, tailored to meet the needs of over 200 pregnant, primarily Latina women regardless of income or health insurance.

LINDA CREED BREAST CANCER ORGANIZATION

$5,000 Program Support | Free Mammography Screening and Diagnostic Testing

Fights breast cancer through community-based education and referrals, support, advocacy and direct service. The grant supports the Free Mammography program which provides free breast health services to up to 60 Chester County women.

MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CONSORTIUM

$15,000 Program Support | Healthy Start

Serves low-income pregnant women, new mothers and their children who have little or no access to quality health care services. The grant supports Healthy Start, which offers case management, intensive home visits, social supports, education, translation and links to resources. The goal is to help families ensure their children's health, safety and successful development. 

PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA

$9,000 Program Support | Well Woman Exams for Women on Medicaid in Coatesville

Protects and enhances reproductive freedom, increases access to reproductive health services and information and promotes sexual health. The grant provides well woman exams for women on Medicaid in Coatesville. 

UNITE FOR HER

$12,000 Program Support | Wellness Day Program at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital

Bridges the gap between the medical and wellness communities by funding and delivering complemetary therapies that support the physical and emotional needs of those with breast cancer during treatment and beyond. The grant supports the Wellness Program, a unique partnership with local hospitals through which breast cancer patients are educated about the healing benefits of complimentary therapies and given free treatment vouchers to experience the therapies.
